Watch this video to understand the difference between WHM and cPanel.

cPanel is the end user control panel. You use it to manage all aspects of your hosting account.

You can create email accounts, ftp accounts, databases, install applications, create a website using a website builder tool and much more.

WHM is the server admin application and you would need to sign up to a reseller plan in order to have it enabled.

In short, WHM is a reseller’s control panel.

With access to WHM, you can easily manage all the web hosting accounts of your clients.

Whether it’s about creating, deleting or suspending hosting accounts, WHM allows you to do all of these, and much more.

Let’s understand the difference in more detail.

If you want to have a look at all the hosting accounts included in your reseller web hosting plan, you should –

1. Log in to WHM.
2. Click the Account Information link.
3. Click the List Accounts link.

On the next page, you’ll see a list of all the hosting accounts that you manage for your clients. Now, you can also access the cPanel of each account listed on the page by clicking the cPanel icon against that specific domain name, without having to log in to multiple cPanel accounts individually.
