Watch this video to learn how to set up an MX entry in cPanel.
An MX (Mail Exchanger) entry is a DNS record to determine which server handles email for a domain name. By setting up or editing this entry, you can configure the record for every destination mail server.
If you plan to have your email handled by a different server or set up a backup email server, you should set up a custom MX entry.
Follow these steps to get it done –
1. Log in to your cPanel.
2. In the Mail section, click on the MX Entry icon.
3. Enter a priority number for the new MX record.
4. Enter the destination, which must be a fully qualified domain name.
5. Click the Add New Record button.
You’ve successfully added a new MX entry.
